Finding Happiness: Balancing passion, career, and money for a fulfilling life

Do you wonder why some follow their passion while others are happy with the choices that come their way?

You’re lucky if you know how to balance your career, interests and money.

Your job or business can give you enough happiness. Each person is unique, and so is his search for satisfaction.

How you perceive happiness depends on what you expect in life.

Passion: Your life path

You may like to talk to people, enjoy seeing waterfalls, paint, jog daily or read a book. Anything that you love to do is your passion.

It can be more than one thing.

You might have had a lot of dreams as a child. But, things may change.

As time passes, your job and responsibilities take priority in your life.

Your passion could fade away.

One day, your passion may knock on your door, and you may be clueless about what to do.

You have two choices

  1. Convince yourself it’s late, and you don’t want to start over again. You do not want to take risks. You are okay with regrets, and you don’t want to go out of your comfort zone.

  2. You can do something about it. You can find a way to turn your hidden dream into reality.

Whatever your choice is, be happy about it.

Career and your passion can be distinct

You can work on your dreams while you’re in your day job. You may like art, photography or dance.

You can spend time on your passion daily or at weekends.

Don’t let your passion ruin your career.

You must give importance to your job because it pays your bills.

Please do justice to it.

Go full-time with your dream

Except for yourself, no one can tell you where your passion will take you. Going full-time is your decision.

It is a big decision.

You can create a possibility. If you think of turning your passion into a business, sleep on it.

You have to consider your family, finances and your future.

Be clear about your goal because you can’t look back.

If you are passionate about something, go in full swing.

The only option you have is to succeed when you begin your new journey.

Before you quit your job

If you’re ready to risk everything, you can quit your job. Otherwise, it is advisable to find something you love first.

Then, you can leave your job when the time comes.

Think about a freelancer, sitting by the beach, laptop open and focused on work. Sounds nice, right?

You must set your goal and work towards it to live such a life.

Find a way that fits your lifestyle.

Money is an important element

When you identify your passion, don’t think about how you can grow, earn and become famous.

You can think of all these once you decide to go full-time.

Money is a significant factor, no matter your job. If you're wealthy, try to set money aside as a consideration.

Otherwise, money should be one of your priorities.

Remember that you want to make a living out of your passion.

Set your goal and the milestones

Your goal looks achievable when you set milestones. Focus only on achieving one milestone at a time.

It will help you know how you’re progressing towards your goal.

Give yourself a pat on the back when you achieve a milestone.

Celebrate it.

Let your family and friends know about your passion, and you’ll feel good about it.

Be self-motivated

When things don’t work in your favour, you may feel low. One obstacle in your journey can discourage you.

Take a break now.

Happiness gives you inner strength.

Do something, which makes you happy. If you’re happy, you’ll attract positivity.

Even on a bad day, find a reason to be joyful.

Ask yourself why

Try to make the best of your day job. Do small things you enjoy.

Change your passion into a profession.

Do everything with love that will lead you to joy. Whatever you choose, you should be happy with the outcome.

Before you decide, take a moment to ask yourself why you want to do it.

I used to have a lot of interests and felt confused about what to do.

Then, I asked myself what I wanted in life. I also questioned why I wanted to coach people.

The answer was clear and convincing—I want to make a positive impact on people's lives.

Now, I'm sure about it.

Your choices define your life

You cannot regret it later because you did not attempt to chase your dream.

The sooner you try, the better you will make choices.

It may be painful once you retire from a corporate job and realise you never risked anything.

In the same way, don't give up your peaceful job to become your boss and later regret it for any reason.

Your choice can be different from mine.

Find the one that makes you happy.

Stay positive and live powerfully!
